Jen Staves has been performing a soulful combination of Blues, Jazz, and Rock in the L.A. and Ventura area for years. She is daughter of “Marilyn King”, a famous Big Band jazz singer, also known as one of “The King Sisters”.  Her Father “Kent Larsen” was one of the lead trombonist and singer in the world renowned Big Band “Stan Kenton”. Jen grew up singing on television and touring around the United States with her  famous family “The King Family”  since the day she could walk .

 As a child she recorded with several artists on their albums :Glen Campbell, Helen Ready, Dianna Ross. TV shows : Mac Davis , Carol Burnett, Barry Manilow, Tony Orlando and Dawn.                                          Movies:  Rocky 2, Rescuers, Disney. Commercials and several Disney children's albums.

 With these influences and her love for jazz, blues, the art of  lyrics, melodies and harmonies, Jen produces a sultry, soulful combination of songs. She has co-written and recorded several songs with some amazing  top producers/musicians , Bill Macpherson, Nee Sackey, and Ricky Z.  They also perform in her band Jen Staves & the Bluzfish with  other top musicians  like Danny Campbell, Troy Dexter, Billy Steinway, and James East just to name a few.
